Handicap Stair Rail Height

Handrail and stair rail systems if a stair has a minimum of four risers a handrail is required.

On any given flight of stairs all steps shall have uniform riser heights and uniform tread widths. The current ada standards dictate the height of an ada handrail must be a minimum of 34 inches and a maximum of 38 inches from the walking surface to the top of your grab rail.
